One month till we leave

Mexico is on the minds of 24 people, students and adults, connected with Caronport High School and Cornerstone Christian School. The group is preparing to serve and be served during at two week trip to Mexico and back during the upcoming Easter season. Team members are anticipating not only a long bus ride but also an overnight stay at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, a visit to the Grand Canyon and a full week of sharing life with missionaries Dave and Lynne Johnson in San Vicente, Baja, MX.

The farming town of San Vicente was hit hard by winter rain storms. The bridge approach on the main highway was washed out and many homes were damaged or destroyed. The team anticipates serving some of the reconstruction needs as well as bringing the good news of "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" to the children and their families who come to the daily "Escuelita Biblia".

Team members continue to prepare for these service opportunities by learning Spanish, studying God's word, raising funds and preparing for the opportunities and transformations that God has in store for them.
